Lot 265: A Chinese Crackle-Glazed Porcelain Vase with Twin Lug...
A Chinese Crackle-Glazed Porcelain Vase with Twin Lug Handles.
A Chinese porcelain vase of archaistic form, the body rising from a short foot to a broad, square-section neck, flanked by a pair of small tubular lug handles. The vessel is covered overall in a pale celadon-toned glaze, finely suffused with an even network of crackle, forming a dense pattern of interlocking lines across the surface.
The rounded lower body tapers gently upward, transitioning into a more angular shoulder and upright neck, the rim slightly everted. The glaze displays subtle tonal variation, with the crackle emphasised by warm, darker lines against the lighter ground.
