Lot 264: A Chinese Crackle-Glazed Porcelain Vase with Twin Lug...
A Chinese Crackle-Glazed Porcelain Vase with Twin Lug Handles.
A Chinese porcelain vase of archaistic hu-form, the body rising from a short circular foot to a gently tapering neck with a slightly flared rim. The shoulders are set with a pair of small, opposing lug handles, tubular in form and neatly applied.
The vessel is covered overall in a warm beige-toned glaze, richly suffused with an extensive network of crackle, forming a dense pattern of irregular intersecting lines across the surface. The glaze displays natural variation, with darker pooling and speckling visible, particularly around the shoulder and upper body.
H: Approximately 23.5cm
