A Chinese Celadon-Glazed Double-Handled Moon Flask Vase.
A Chinese porcelain vase of flattened globular “moon flask” form, rising from a short foot to a rounded body and a slightly waisted cylindrical neck.
The shoulders are set with a pair of applied handles formed as stylised mythical beasts, their sinuous bodies curving outward and back toward the neck. The surface is covered in a soft, even celadon glaze of pale green tone, pooling subtly around the handles and contours of the form.
