A Chinese Crackle-Glazed Tripod Censer with Loop Handles.
A Chinese ceramic censer of rounded form, raised on three cylindrical legs and covered in an overall crackle glaze of pale grey tones with a subtle mottled effect. The body is thickly potted, with a slightly everted rim and two upright loop handles set at the shoulder.
The glaze displays a dense network of crackle patterns throughout, creating a textured visual surface across the exterior and interior. The legs are evenly spaced and extend downward from the body, each terminating in an unglazed footrim showing the underlying ceramic body.
The handles rise above the rim in a simple arched form, complementing the robust and balanced shape of the vessel.
