An Indian Jain Tantric Diagram Painting of a Standing Deity, 20th Century.
An Indian Jain tantric diagram painting depicting a frontal standing deity with stylised facial features, large outlined eyes, and a patterned headdress adorned with small shrine-like motifs. The figure’s body is divided into geometric compartments, including checkerboard sections, rectangular panels, and circular forms, each containing drawn symbols and Devanagari inscriptions. The deity’s arms extend outward, each hand resting on a red, dotted, fan-shaped form bordered in yellow. Additional inscriptions frame the composition along both sides, while the figure stands on patterned feet above a narrow line of script along the bottom.
