A Chinese Archaistic Crackle-Glazed Cong-Form Porcelain Vase.
A Chinese porcelain vase of rectangular cong form, the cylindrical body enclosed within gently projecting squared sides, rising to a short, slightly everted neck above a narrow circular foot. The exterior is moulded in relief with vertical bands of raised bosses and geometric ridges, creating a structured, archaistic appearance inspired by ancient ritual jades.
The surface is covered in a warm beige-toned glaze, finely suffused with an extensive crackle network, forming a dense pattern of irregular intersecting lines across the body. The glaze shows natural tonal variation, with darker staining and subtle speckling visible within the recesses and along the moulded decoration.
