A Chinese Iron-Red Decorated Porcelain ‘Dragon’ Bowl, Qianlong Mark.
A finely potted Chinese porcelain bowl of elegant, gently flared form, the exterior decorated in iron-red enamels with a continuous design of five-clawed dragons in dynamic pursuit amidst scrolling clouds and stylised flames. The dragons are boldly rendered with detailed scales and expressive features, their sinuous bodies animated across the white ground in a striking monochrome palette.
The interior is glazed in a soft turquoise tone, creating a refined contrast with the exterior decoration. The base bears a blue six-character Qianlong mark within a recessed circular panel, with the foot rim neatly finished in a yellow-ground band and iron-red line.
