A Chinese Jade Carving of a Recumbent Hound.
Carved from a pale celadon jade with a soft, even translucency, the figure is modelled as a recumbent hound with its body elongated and limbs folded beneath. The head is gently raised with a rounded snout, incised eye, and subtly defined ears, giving the animal a calm, resting expression. The tail curves elegantly along the side of the body, forming a smooth loop.
