A Tibetan Bronze Figure of a Seated Deity.
A Tibetan bronze figure depicting a seated ascetic or deity, shown in a relaxed posture atop a stepped rectangular base. The figure is modelled with one leg bent and the other extended, the right hand raised beside the head in a gesture, while the left hand rests upon the knee holding a small vessel.
The face is finely cast with elongated eyes, a defined nose, and softly smiling lips, framed by stylised hair or headdress falling to the shoulders. The upper body is adorned with simple drapery and incised borders, flowing naturally across the torso and legs.
At the front of the base, a small animal head—possibly a deer or goat—emerges in relief, adding a distinctive decorative element. The surface displays a warm brown tone with areas of wear and handling consistent with age, particularly visible along the raised edges and facial features.
