Lot 109: A Tibetan Gilt-Bronze Stupa-Form Ritual Object.
A Tibetan Gilt-Bronze Stupa-Form Ritual Object.
A Tibetan gilt-bronze object of stupa form, rising from a circular base decorated with a band of stylised lotus petals.
The lower section is cylindrical with moulded bands and central floral motifs, above which sits a domed element encircled by a raised lotus collar. The upper section is composed of a tapering, tiered spire with finely ribbed detailing, surmounted by a lotus-bud finial.
The surfaces display a rich contrast between warm brown tones and gilded highlights, particularly accentuating the stepped spire and petal borders. The base is ornamented with repeating petal forms, continuing the lotus motif throughout the composition.
