A Tibetan Silver-Mounted Conch Shell with Coral and Turquoise Inlay.
A Tibetan ritual conch shell trumpet, mounted in silver and formed from a natural shell, the exterior richly adorned with repoussé decoration.
The body is encased with finely worked white metal panels featuring scrolling floral motifs, birds, and stylised decorative elements in relief. The central section reveals the natural pale surface of the shell, applied with decorative white metal medallions of varying designs.
The upper mount is set with cabochon stones in red and green tones, likely coral and turquoise. The mouthpiece and terminal are fitted with white metal mounts, with a small ring attachment at the tip.
