An Indian Brass Ewer with Animal-Head Spout and Hinged Lid.
A brass ewer of globular form rising from a spreading foot, with a tall tapering neck surmounted by a domed hinged lid and finial.
The curved spout terminates in a stylised animal head, forming a distinctive zoomorphic feature, while the handle is of shaped form with a thumb rest and attached hinge mechanism for the lid. The body is plain and rounded, with subtle panelled contours visible across the surface.
The lid is faceted and fitted with a small knop finial, attached to the handle via a functional hinge. The base is slightly flared, providing stability and proportion to the overall form.
