A Collection of Hantel ‘Victorian Miniatures’ Hand-Painted Porcelain Animal Figures, Made in Scotland, with Original Box.
A varied and decorative collection of hand-painted porcelain animal figures by Hantel, from their ‘Victorian Miniatures’ series, presented with the original branded box marked “Made in Scotland.” The group includes a selection of animals comprising a stork, a horse, two lambs, a turkey, a swan, and a miniature bird displayed beneath a clear dome.
Each figure is finely modelled and painted in naturalistic tones, with details such as plumage, fur, and harness decoration carefully rendered. The stork and swan are depicted standing with elongated necks and delicately painted feathers, while the horse features harness detailing and a two-tone coat. The lambs are shown in smaller scale with simple forms, and the turkey is decorated with vibrant red and brown plumage.
Several figures retain their original Hantel tags, attached by fine cords, adding to the presentation. The surfaces are smooth and glazed, with attention to colour variation and character across the group.
