A Japanese Bronze Model of a Crab within a Bamboo-Form Frame.
Cast as a naturalistic crab, the central body with articulated legs and pronounced pincers, enclosed within a circular frame formed as segmented bamboo. The crab is finely modelled with textured detailing across the shell and limbs, while the surrounding frame curves organically around it, creating a sculptural, almost cage-like composition.
