A Chinese Celadon-Glazed Square Section Vase with Ribbed Sides.
A Chinese porcelain vase of square section, the body rising in stepped, horizontally ribbed tiers from a short circular foot to a gently tapering shoulder and cylindrical neck. The shoulder is set with four small, evenly spaced tubular apertures.
The exterior is covered in a pale celadon glaze of soft greenish tone, displaying an even network of fine crackle throughout. The ribbed sides create a layered architectural effect, while the glaze pools slightly within the recessed areas, enhancing the tonal variation.
The base features a recessed circular panel within the square underside, encircled by an unglazed footring revealing the underlying ceramic body.
