A Chinese Famille Rose Turquoise-Ground Lidded Box with Floral Medallions and Scrollwork.
A finely potted lidded porcelain box of cylindrical form, resting on a short foot and surmounted by a domed cover with a sculptural coral-red knop in the form of a stylised looped handle.
The exterior is decorated in famille rose enamels against a vibrant turquoise ground, featuring alternating panels of stylised lotus blooms and scrolling floral sprays. These are framed by bold geometric key-fret borders in iron-red and yellow tones, creating a balanced and symmetrical composition.
The domed cover is similarly adorned with scrolling floral motifs radiating from the knop, executed in pink, yellow, green, and blue enamels. The interior and base are glazed in a matching turquoise tone, with a neatly painted blue square seal mark to the underside.
