A Chinese Wucai Porcelain Bowl with Figural Decoration, Chenghua Mark.
A finely potted porcelain bowl of rounded form, rising from a short, straight foot to a gently flared rim, the exterior vividly decorated in wucai enamels. The body is adorned with lively figural scenes of children at play within a garden setting, depicted in tones of iron-red, green, yellow, and underglaze blue. The figures are interspersed with stylised trees, shrubs, and rockwork, alongside decorative motifs including bats in flight and scattered floral elements.
The rim is encircled by a double blue line, framing the animated exterior scenes. The interior is comparatively restrained, centred with a small roundel enclosing two children in a landscape, surrounded by a plain white ground and a double-line border.
The base bears a six-character underglaze blue mark reading “Da Ming Chenghua Nian Zhi” (大明成化年製) within double circles.
