A Chinese Ge-Type Style Crackle-Glazed Vase.
A finely potted porcelain vase of elegant baluster form, rising from a short, neatly finished foot to a rounded shoulder and a tall cylindrical neck terminating in a slightly flared rim. The entire surface is covered in a pale greyish celadon glaze suffused with an even network of fine crackle (crazing), creating a characteristic “ice-crack” pattern across the body.
The crackle is highlighted by darker lines within the glaze, forming an intricate web that enhances the vessel’s visual depth. The glaze pools subtly around the contours, with slightly darker tones visible along the foot rim and edges, adding contrast to the otherwise soft monochrome surface.
