A Chinese Famille Verte Style Bowl with Figural Decoration, Chenghua Mark.
A Chinese porcelain bowl of rounded form, rising from a short, neatly formed foot to a gently everted rim. The exterior is finely decorated in a famille verte-style palette with underglaze blue outlines and overglaze enamels.
The body is adorned with a continuous figural scene depicting playful boys in a garden setting, shown in lively poses amongst stylised plants and landscape elements. The figures are painted in tones of green, iron-red, yellow, and aubergine, with additional blue detailing. A band of iron-red cloud motifs encircles the upper rim beneath a double blue line.
The underside reveals a recessed base bearing a blue square mark within concentric circles.
