A Chinese Blue Ground Porcelain Vase with Gilt Decoration, Qianlong Mark.
A Chinese porcelain vase of baluster form with a slender neck and slightly flared rim, set upon a short foot. The body is finished in a rich cobalt-blue ground and finely decorated in gilt with intricate scrolling floral and foliate motifs arranged in horizontal bands.
The shoulder is adorned with a stylised lotus lappet border, while the central register features symmetrical arabesque patterns enclosing floral elements. The neck is further embellished with repeating upright cartouche motifs, and the foot is encircled by geometric and floral bands.
The underside bears a red seal mark reading Qianlong Nian Zhi (乾隆年制).
