A Chinese Famille Rose Dish with Auspicious Characters, Qianlong Mark.
The dish of shallow circular form with a gently everted rim, the interior finely decorated against a vibrant turquoise ground with intricate scrolling floral sprays in pink, white, and green enamels. The central roundel encloses a stylised shou (longevity) character, surrounded by four further medallions each containing auspicious Chinese characters, all reserved on a rich yellow ground.
The cavetto and rim are further embellished with delicate cloud scrolls and ornamental borders in vivid polychrome enamels, finished with a narrow gilt edge. The reverse is plain, decorated with four iron-red bat motifs evenly spaced around the exterior.
The base bears a blue six-character seal mark reading “大清乾隆年製” (Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi — “Made in the Qianlong period of the Great Qing Dynasty”).
