A Large Chinese Blue And White Porcelain Floral Bowl.
Of large circular form with gently flared sides, the bowl is finely decorated in underglaze blue with an intricate arrangement of scrolling foliage and stylised floral motifs. The interior features a central medallion densely filled with layered blossoms, enclosed within a key fret border, while the cavetto is adorned with large flowerheads reserved against a ground of curling leafy tendrils.
The exterior continues with bold chrysanthemum-style blooms issuing from sinuous stems, framed by repeating geometric and scrolling borders along the rim and foot. The underside shows an unglazed foot ring revealing the pale ceramic body.
