Maqbool Fida Husain (1915–2011), An Abstract Figural Composition with Calligraphic Elements, Watercolour on Paper.
A dynamic and colourful composition depicting stylised camels, a winged figure, and fragmented symbolic forms set within an abstract landscape. The scene is rendered in bold, flat areas of colour including ochre, blue, green, and black, with strong outlines and simplified figures characteristic of the artist’s visual language. Arabic calligraphic elements are integrated throughout the composition, adding rhythm and movement. The work is signed “Hussain” and dated 1992 in the lower right, and is presented within a mount and wooden frame.
