A Tibetan Gilt Bronze Ritual Phurba (Kila) with Wrathful Deity Handle, Mounted on a Painted Base.
A Tibetan gilt bronze ritual dagger (phurba), the handle cast in the form of a wrathful deity mask with bulging eyes, bared teeth, and prominent earrings.
The hilt rises into a crown-like finial with small skull motifs, while the shaft is decorated with geometric and banded ornament. The blade emerges below with a stylised makara head, the surface further detailed with scrolling motifs.
The piece is mounted upright on a carved wooden base painted in bold red, blue, green, and yellow tones, forming a lotus-like plinth. A textile tassel with woven floral decoration is attached to the upper section, adding movement and contrast to the metallic surface.
