A Tibetan Silver Conch Shell with Turquoise and Coral Hued Inlay.
A Tibetan ceremonial conch shell trumpet encased in finely worked silver, the body richly decorated with dense repoussé floral scrolls, foliate motifs, and auspicious symbols.
The bulbous chamber is encircled by beaded borders and panels of intricate ornament, including stylised lotus forms and mythical creatures, while the tapering spout is similarly adorned with continuous scrolling decoration. The terminal and upper sections are set with cabochon turquoise and red hued stones, providing vibrant accents against the pale metal surface.
The mount follows the natural spiral of the conch, with the rim and mouthpiece neatly framed by engraved bands. The interior reveals the natural shell structure, contrasting with the elaborately worked exterior casing.
