A Tibetan Carved Conch Shell with Intricate Buddhist Motifs.
A Tibetan ritual conch shell, finely carved throughout from a natural shell, displaying dense and highly detailed decoration.
The body is intricately worked with a large central mandala-like medallion, surrounded by concentric bands of geometric and symbolic motifs. The surface is further adorned with figures, scrolling patterns, and stylised elements arranged in layered registers.
Toward the tapering end, the shell is carved with repeating cloud forms in relief, set against a stippled ground, creating a strong contrast in texture. Additional bands of decoration divide the composition, giving the piece a structured and symmetrical appearance.
H: Approximately 17.5cm
