A Tibetan Gilt Bronze Plaque of Manjushri, 19th Century.
A finely cast Tibetan gilt bronze plaque depicting Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, seated in dhyanasana upon a double-lotus pedestal. The deity holds a flaming sword in the right hand, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance, and a lotus in the left hand, supporting the Prajnaparamita Sutra. The arched backplate is intricately decorated with floral motifs and birds, while the reverse bears an engraved double vajra symbol.
