An Indian Bronze Figure of a Standing Deity, 18th–19th Century.
The figure cast in bronze standing upright upon a stepped circular base, the deity depicted in a frontal pose with one hand raised in a gesture of blessing and the other resting at the hip. The face is finely modelled with almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and a composed expression, surmounted by a tiered headdress with incised detailing.
The torso adorned with necklaces and armlets, with further engraved ornament across the chest and shoulders. The lower garment is richly decorated with repeating bands of geometric and floral motifs, extending down to the ankles. The reverse shows continued detailing to the headdress and garment, with a smooth treatment to the back.
