An Indian Bronze Zoomorphic Ewer, 19th Century.
The bronze cast in the form of a stylised animal-bodied vessel, the spout shaped as a forward-projecting head with defined ears and muzzle. The rounded body rising to a short cylindrical neck with an open mouth, flanked by a looped swing handle attached at either side.
The body decorated in relief with panels of geometric and foliate motifs, including lattice and scrolling designs, framed by bands of incised ornament.
