A Roman Style Carved Marble Female Head Fragment.
A carved marble head fragment depicting a female figure, rendered in a Roman style with softly modelled facial features and a calm, composed expression. The face is rounded with gently defined eyes, a subtle smile, and smooth contours.
The hair is centrally parted and arranged in flowing, carved strands that sweep back across the head, with linear incisions giving texture and depth to the coiffure. The reverse shows further detailed carving of the hair in layered strands.
